For nearly 10 years Yostmark Backcountry Tours has hosted Levels I and II avalanche training. In recent years we’ve also incorporated a FREE avalanche awareness night. We love the backcountry, but it’s no fun if you’re not safe. Knowing and understanding snow conditions with the right training, equipment and judgement is the ticket to accessing the best powder skiing in the country.

All of our courses are taught by nationally recognized avalanche instructors and forecasters.  Yostmark courses set by both the American Avalanche Association and the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA). Yostmark courses have the benefit of operating on the Caribou Targhee National Forest, a benefit that few other avalanche course providers have.
